Fit for a King
The SDCB has launched a new cycle route to improve the downland cycle network north of Hangleton in Hove, East Sussex.
The New Barn cycle trail has been constructed on a section of the historic Monarch's Way, a long distance trail (610 miles) that follows the route taken by King Charles II on his escape to France in 1651. The Way passes through two World Heritage Sites and six AONB's including the Sussex Downs and East Hampshire, enabling users to visis many historic sites.
The cycle trail has been funded by South Coast Power as part of the gas pipeline S106 agreement.
